Abstract
During roughly 150 years, the powers of the Iberian Peninsula controlled sea trade routes to India. The legacy of these men in Arab lands has virtually disappeared. However, in this area there is still a trace that remains in some fortresses and archaeological sites. A mark of men who dominated the sea and the places of supply, trade, and collection of taxes required to be surrendered to the king of Portugal and/or Spain
