Abstract
The objective of this article is to analyze how the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has been relegated to the background within the European security architecture following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which began in 2022. First, a brief historical overview will be provided, from the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE) and the 1975 Helsinki Final Act to the most recent OSCE missions in Europe and other adjacent regions. It will then present the different visions of European security, which are vital to understanding the OSCE's current difficulties. Finally, and taking into account all of the above, some conclusions will be offered assessing the future of the OSCE.
